The scope of this large multi-million pound project was to conslidate
12 intranets located in various geographies into a single company portal.
The driver for this was cost saving, but the benefits given also included
providing a single company communications channel, a consolidated set
of sales information, a single employee directory and company org chart
as well as providing an infrastucture to host many further e-Initiatives
such as eHR, eTravel, eProcurement etc. The intranet was delivered on
Microsoft CMS 2001 with content in 7 languages and a very successful develoved
authorship model with over 400 contributors trained and authoring. The
project was delivered on time and under budget and saves C&W £1m
+ per annum.
